Parol-Making Workshop - November 13, 2024
Parol-Making Workshop - November 13, 2024
Join us at Likha Art Club for a night of making art and meeting others in the community who are interested in being creative. We meet once a month on Wednesdays at Likha Art Cafe in Hawthorne (Westchester County, NY).
Our parol-making workshop will be on Wednesday, November 13, 2024. Participants will each get to make a parol to take home (and if they wish to, a second parol to leave at Likha as cafe decor!). All skill levels welcome! The workshop will be led by White Plains artist Erwin Ong.
A parol is a star-shaped lantern that’s a traditional Christmas decoration in the Philippines. The word “parol” comes from the Spanish word "farol" which means lantern.
